FRS 01 guide rings made of PTFE compounds serve to guide rods, prevent metallic contact of the machine parts and absorb the transverse force that occurs. Guide elements made of PTFE compounds are characterised by outstanding friction behaviour which minimises the stick-slip effect. In addition, they exhibit high thermal and chemical resistance. PTFE guide rings are suitable for medium surface pressures.
Guide rings made of PTFE compounds are supplied as stretched, pre-cut PTFE guide strips which can easily be installed in closed installation grooves.
There are three different cutting types: 30°, 90°, ST.
30° = for better press force distribution and to facilitate installation
90° = simple cut
ST = for swivel movements
The edge chamfers also facilitate installation. With one-sided surface structured material, care must be taken to ensure that the profiled surface is always installed as the contact surface.
Standard PTFE guide rings are supplied with a 30° diagonal cut and in a PTFE bronze compound.
